Nowdays lasers can be found everywhere including optical drives, various gauges and in the simplest breloques. Usually they are bought from industrial manufacturers but there is a subculture of people who make their own lasers, consisting of components found at home or even at dumpsites. Some of them are ready to share their experience over the internet.

We will try to understand some of the self-made lasers described in internet and will try to find some new ideas.
